Pandangan Alkitab terhadap LGBT: Kebenaran Firman Tuhan dan Tantangan Pastoral
Abstract
Isu LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Biseksual, dan Transgender) merupakan fenomena global yang menimbulkan tantangan serius bagi gereja dalam mempertahankan kesetiaan pada kebenaran Firman Tuhan sekaligus menyatakan kasih Kristus secara kontekstual. Kajian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pandangan Alkitab terhadap homoseksualitas, serta mengeksplorasi pendekatan pastoral yang relevan dalam menghadapi jemaat yang bergumul dengan orientasi seksual. Penelitian menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif melalui studi pustaka yang mencakup teks Alkitab, literatur medis, dan dokumen pastoral. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa Alkitab secara konsisten menolak praktik homoseksual dan mengganggap LGBT sebagai ekspresi penyimpangan dari rancangan Allah, namun penting juga mengajarkan pentingnya kasih, pemulihan, dan pendampingan pastoral. Gereja dipanggil untuk membedakan antara identitas pribadi dan perilaku moral, serta menghadirkan komunitas yang mampu merangkul tanpa mengompromikan kebenaran. Kajian ini memberikan kontribusi terhadap pemahaman teologis dan pastoral gereja kontemporer dalam merespons isu LGBT secara bijaksana dan berbelas kasih.
